The Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association honored Donald R. Diamond’s life and legacy by creating the Donald R. Diamond Community Builder Award. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a clear understanding of the value of the homebuilding industry paired with many years of commitment to investing in our greater community.  At the SAHBA Annual Awards Program held January 24, 2020, Bill Viner, Pepper Viner Homes and Founder of the Ft. Lowell Soccer Shoot-Out and Tucson Festival of Books received the 2019 SAHBA Donald R. Diamond Community Builder Award.

Stone House, the only active custom lot subdivision in Sahuarita, AZ, experienced very robust sales in 2019 with a total of 21 closings, the most in a year since the project opened in 2005!  A.F. Sterling Homes and Cornerstone Homes are the preferred builders and The Pete Arnold Team with Tierra Antigua is the sales team responsible for the successful year.

In December, Diamond Ventures, Inc. purchased 32 acres in Sedona.  Dorn Homes and Diamond Ventures plan to offer 30 customized homes at Hillside Vista Estates.  This is Diamond Ventures third residential community in Sedona after developing Casa Contenta and RimStone.  Dorn Homes and Diamond Ventures have partnered on residential development projects for more than twenty years.

Eegee’s purchased a parcel from Houghton Developers to construct its first store serving Southeast Tucson. They started construction shortly after closing on the land and are scheduled to open in late March, 2020.
