Founder
Helaine Levy
Principal
Helaine Levy serves as Principal of Diamond Ventures and brings more than 30 years of business leadership and investment experience to the company. She helps guide Diamond Ventures’ strategic direction, including its residential, commercial, industrial and private equity investments. Helaine’s additional investment experience includes managing her family’s multigenerational investments.
Helaine also serves as Executive Director of Diamond Foundation, which supports nonprofit organizations throughout the Tucson community. A longtime leader in the region’s philanthropic sector, she has founded two nonprofit organizations and actively engages with community partners on behalf of Diamond Ventures and the foundation.
Previously, Helaine served for more than 15 years as President and managing owner of Old Tucson Studios. During her tenure, she established the park as one of Arizona’s leading tourist attractions and directed its physical and strategic rebuilding following a catastrophic fire.
Helaine currently serves on the University of Arizona College of Medicine Dean’s Advisory Board, the Washington Institute Board and the NexMetro Communities Board. Her experience also includes strategic development, organizational governance, facilitation and service in numerous board leadership positions.
David Goldstein
President
David Goldstein has served as President of Diamond Ventures since the company’s founding in 1988. He sets the strategic vision and priorities for Diamond Ventures, Inc. and DVI Equity Partners, LLC, overseeing policies for the management of the companies’ real estate and technology investment portfolios and establishing criteria for new investment opportunities.
With more than 35 years of experience, David began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Whinney and Coopers & Lybrand. He later served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Sales for Venture West Group before joining Diamond Ventures.
David contributes his leadership and expertise to the broader community through his service with the Arizona Commerce Authority and Tucson Airport Authority. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the University of Arizona.
Chad Kolodisner
Executive Vice President
Chad Kolodisner joined Diamond Ventures in 2004 and serves as Executive Vice President. He oversees the company’s internal operations and implementation of its strategic business plan. Chad also leads negotiations with strategic partners, including the structuring of joint ventures and dispositions, and oversees new real estate acquisitions and investments in growth companies.
Chad’s real estate experience includes a particular emphasis on master-planned communities. He serves as the company’s primary contact for the Rocking K and Verano developments in Tucson and Saddleback Heights in Phoenix. Before joining Diamond Ventures, Chad practiced law with private firms and worked with Del Webb and Pulte Homes in Phoenix.
Chad earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
William Kelley
Chief Financial Officer
Bill Kelley joined Diamond Ventures in 2000 and serves as Chief Financial Officer. He leads the company’s commercial division, which manages a diverse portfolio of industrial, office, retail, mixed-use and hospitality assets. Bill is also responsible for corporate financial planning, project financing and the acquisition of income-producing properties.
With experience encompassing more than $1 billion in real estate transactions, Bill is actively involved in regional economic development efforts. Before joining Diamond Ventures, he held senior management and executive positions with Bourn Properties, Venture West Group and Ernst & Whinney.
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Arizona.
Mark Weinberg
Senior Vice President
Mark Weinberg joined Diamond Ventures in 1994 and serves as Senior Vice President. He oversees the company’s residential division, including the acquisition, planning, entitlement, construction and management of custom lot communities, builder neighborhoods and master-planned communities. Mark leads efforts to add value to the company’s existing residential portfolio and directs the identification, due diligence, acquisition and development of new residential properties throughout Arizona. He also represents Diamond Ventures in builder joint ventures.
With extensive experience in Arizona land development and project construction, Mark has managed several of the company’s award-winning custom home communities, builder neighborhoods and master-planned developments. Before joining Diamond Ventures, he served as General Manager of Canada Hills Development Company, where he oversaw the development and management of a resort hotel, country club, golf courses, utility company and various real estate projects.
Mark earned a degree in business administration and psychology from the University of New Hampshire.
Priscilla Storm
Vice President
Priscilla Storm joined Diamond Ventures in 2001. She leads the company’s real estate advocacy efforts at the local and state levels and oversees the management of the company’s master-planned community associations. Her responsibilities include special projects within the company’s diverse real estate portfolios, including assets in Mexico. Priscilla oversees corporate marketing and community relations and represents the company on several industry and community boards and committees.
Priscilla was raised in an entrepreneurial self-employed family. In addition to leadership roles with her family’s businesses, before joining Diamond Ventures, Priscilla held senior leadership positions across several industries. These included positions with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi and First City Bank.
Priscilla earned a bachelor’s degree in US. Border Studies and Communications from Trinity University and an MBA in International Trade from Texas A&M International University.
Brian Deatherage
Vice President of Finance
Brian Deatherage joined Diamond Ventures in 2005. He provides operational support and coordination across the company’s residential, commercial and special projects divisions. His responsibilities encompass land acquisition, development, asset management and sales. Brian also leads regulatory reporting for the company’s water utility operations.
Before joining Diamond Ventures, Brian served as a Senior Finance Analyst with Aker Kvaerner Industrial, where he developed automated accounting processes to improve month-end closing procedures and financial consolidations.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from Northern Arizona University.
Robert Tucker
Vice President
Robert Tucker joined Diamond Ventures in 2004 and serves as Vice President. A licensed civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience, he manages the company’s residential and commercial development projects through every stage, including preliminary due diligence, acquisition, entitlement, design and construction. Robert also serves as Project Manager for Rocking K, Diamond Ventures’ master-planned community in Vail, Arizona.
Before joining Diamond Ventures, Robert worked as an engineer with MMLA (Psomas), where he specialized in infrastructure, commercial development and residential subdivisions. His experience included extensive master-planned community work with national and regional homebuilders.
Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona.
Finance & Investment Director
Andrew Ballmann joined Diamond Ventures in 2023 and serves as Finance & Investment Director. He oversees the company’s liquidity and banking relationships and manages the DVI Equity Partners venture capital portfolio. Andrew also leads due diligence for new private equity investments, oversees the company’s water assets and provides oversight and due diligence for the family office’s trust investments.
Before joining Diamond Ventures, Andrew worked as a wealth manager with Merrill Lynch, serving as a fiduciary for clients throughout Arizona and across the country. Earlier in his career, he served in the fire service and retired at the rank of Captain and Paramedic.
Andrew is active in the community through volunteering at the University of Arizona and serving on various non-profit organization boards.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University and an MBA from the University of Arizona. He holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.
Donald R. Diamond
Founder
Donald Diamond founded Diamond Ventures in 1988 to expand his real estate and business investment activities while establishing dedicated management and development capabilities. As Founder, he worked closely with the company’s senior leadership, providing strategic guidance and resources that helped shape the Diamond Ventures portfolio and its long-term direction until his passing in 2019.
Before moving to Arizona, Donald Diamond built a successful career as a commodities broker on Wall Street. He later became known as a visionary entrepreneur and investor with interests in Arizona real estate and a diverse range of operating businesses.
Donald’s legacy continues through his daughter, Helaine Levy and grandchildren, who remain actively involved in the company. He is remembered for his charismatic personality, keen business acumen, commitment to lifelong learning, interest in world affairs and public policy, and generous support of charitable causes.
